About KPMG
At KPMG, the people make the place. The fact that they have voted them The Sunday Times ‘Best Big Company to Work For’ two years in a row speaks for itself. A fact that shows KPMG has created a place where everyone feels valued.
What’s more, the firm is growing. Since a number of European firms merged to form KPMG Europe LLP, we have become the largest fully-integrated accountancy firm in Europe, offering Audit, Tax and Advisory services to everyone from oil companies to music gurus.
But it’s not just what we do that’s important. It’s the way that we do it. Our values don’t just live on a wall. They’re a way of life, underpinning the way we work with clients and with each other.
So what can graduates look forward to at KPMG? Exposure to clients from day one. Working on challenging projects. And if you’re studying for a professional qualification, there’s a fantastic support network that includes a mentor and generous study leave.
Despite the focus on qualifications, it’s not all work and no play. From flexible working opportunities and CSR days to sabbatical opportunities and free lunches, as The Sunday Times awards show, KPMG is a great place to start your career.
We’d like to hear from graduates with at least a 2:1 degree in any discipline. And, once you’ve applied, you can expect a response on the next working day.

FAQ
- What are the opportunities post qualification?
- The opportunities post qualification are vast. The firm is commited to moving people around, providing diverse ranges of experience and opportunities, e.g. short or long term international assignments, secondments to other disciplines and out of box experiences. All opportunities are advertised on the intranet and discussed at appraisal. At any one time we have more than 200 people from the UK on secondments to other member firms abroad.
- Is there any other training apart from the exam training?
- We have an extensive range of integrated in-house training courses, with courses related to technical skills, personal skills, increasing business awareness and various specialisms. Our commitment to personal development is as strong as our commitment to getting trainees through their exams.
- When do students need to respond to their job offer, and is there a possibility it might be withdrawn?
- We would normally expect candidates to respond to an offer in about a month but are always happy to give someone longer if they have a genuine reason for needing more time to decide. Our offers are often made to prospective new graduate joiners before they have obtained their degree results and offers are made subject to obtaining a 2:1 degree or higher. If a candidate does not obtain their predicted university grade we ask that they contact us as soon as possible and we will consider any extenuating circumstances at this time.
- What should a student do if they have already started a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA?
- We would advise candidates who have completed professional examinations to always confirm this on their application forms. Audit and Restructuring both look at qualifications in ACA or ACCA, so we would therefore not be able to accept applications from candidates wishing to apply who are part-qualified in these examinations. Tax and all of our other routes would be able to accept applicants who were part-qualified in ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
- What is the deadline for graduate applications?
- No deadline - we operate a rolling recruitment system, and have online tests, first interviews and assessment centres taking place throughout the year. International students who require a work permit need to complete the online application by the 30th April - please see the International Students section for further details.
